ANNOUNCEMENT FROM ARCHBISHOP HEPWORTH:

The Consecration of David Oswald Robarts and Harry Entwistle SSC to the office of Bishop in the Church of God will take place in the Latvian Lutheran Church of Saint Peter, 125 Rose Terrace, Wayville at 10.00 a.m on Friday 24th November.

The Latvian Lutheran Church is the church of my wife and her family. It is an Episcopal Lutheran Church, whose bishops have included Anglican consecrators since the "Bell Agreements" of the 1930's. The present Bishop of Riga, who took office after the former bishop was executed by the Russian occupiers, has reversed the communist-inspired decision to appoint women clergy in Latvia.

Bus transport to St Peter's will be provided for members of Synod staying at the Passionist Monastery, Glen Osmond, the final bus leaving just after 9.30am.

I ask that you continue in your prayers for the bishops elect and their families, and for the bishops who will join in their consecration.

Any extra-parochial time available was spent as spiritual director and confessor, and supporting orthodox Anglicans through the Association for Apostolic Ministry.
